Happy Chinese New Year (for tomorrow)! It's the year of the monkey ooo ooo ahhh ahhhh. The photo I've shared above is from London's celebrations last year, if you have the time get there next Sunday.
Eat.
To celebrate Chinese New Year I will be eating crispy duck pancakes with hoisin sauce, and some crunchy spring onions and cucumber. I would definitely recommend getting yourselves down to the local supermarket and seeing what deals they have available for Chinese New Year.

Teach.
Keeping with the theme, this week I used the lovely Twinkl Chinese New Year mindfulness colouring monkey's and the kids just loved them! They also have some lovely powerpoint resources to share with the children, and some split pin monkeys you could create too. It's the perfect opportunity to get crafty in the classroom. If you're looking for an activity for younger ones, a handprint painted monkey is always fun!

This week in London, I went for the second time since I've moved to London to visit The Tower of London. If you live here, or you're just visiting, it is definitely worth a visit. Make sure you take the guided tour from a Beefeater. They start from the entrance, but you have to get there before 2.30 for the guided hour long tour. You can get 241 if you are travelling by train on the national rail days out website, but you have to print out the voucher in advance. If you are coming from London, then look out at the tube stations for 241 vouchers too. You will find out about the history of London, see all the dazzling crown jewels and appreciate some of the best views in London from the various viewpoints.
